I called for days and tried to Speak with an operator and everyday the automated system said no operator was available. I then contacted Michelle again and she said she would get back to me with the name of whoever I was supposed to speak to. She never did. Finally over a week later a woman calls me from corporate. I explained to her the situation and she was very rude! Stating the waivers a property of Claire's and they would not release them to me. So, if this awful situation ever affects you, don't expect any help or sympathy from Claire's on being robbed of your parental rights. I had even explained to both Michelle and the woman I spoke with, I had no intentions of going after Claire's for this.
I wanted the waivers for the signatures on them that clearly weren't mine so I could go after the woman who brought them into the store claiming to be their mother and signed for them to get their ears pierced.
I was able to obtain one copy of my child's waiver from a clearly poorly trained employee because she willingly just handed it over, which works in my favor but my other daughters waiver disappeared from the store the day before when district manager Michelle Plant had been there.
Went to Claires in Lime Ridge earlier with 40 dollars in cash and picked out 6 hoop piercings for the buy 3 get 3 free "sale" and went to pay up. Cashier told me total was 65 dollars, I took of the more expensive ones and only got 3 instead of 6 because if you get 6 earrings they ring up the most expensive items and leave out the cheap ones, buy 3 expensive items get 3 cheap ones free this cashier was fine a did her job. Went back to return it and was told to give my email, I didn't use email or sign up with anything at Claire's the girl there said that it makes things easier or something so whatever, I give her my email and she asks for my card, I tell her I paid with cash, she rolls her eyes at me and just walks away. Doesn't talk to any other employee just walks away for a minute and comes back for some reason and gives me my money back then rolls her eyes again and I left.
Bad customer service. Is it so hard to pull out a 20 dollar bill? I didn't take my receipt from my returning them because I just left. Not to mention all the earrings looked cheap too. The trash cashier's name was Arianna, white, dirty blonde, skinny, and an RBF face.

The item did not work out and we attempted to return it to the local Owensboro KY store at Towne Square Mall and the manager refused to accept the return because "they did not carry the item there". Claire's offers free ear piercing with the purchase of earrings. So, I went to a Claire's to see what type of deal I could get. The young woman employee asked if she could help me. I told her that my granddaughter wanted a second ear piercing. The woman led me to the earrings that were offered for piercings. I asked her which earrings were the least expensive. She quickly added "She can take it out in three weeks".
If you go to 'Claire's Ear Piercing Kits' online, you will see them offered at this price. I then asked her "why is it so expensive for a little stainless steel ball? I laughed and said that didn't sound like free piercing to me. She continued "The piercing is free. It's the metal that you pay for. It stated to ensure that the piercer Washes their hands before piercing and uses single-use gloves, Cleans the area to be pierced, Uses a single-use, disposable razor to shave the skin to be pierced, if needed, Uses sterile needles, clamps, receiving tubes and body jewelry, Provides aftercare information.

I did some research on the Claire's website to compare what they offered for earrings in their ear piercing kits vs. Claire's corporate is pretty smart. They don't offer any stainless steel earrings except for with the ear piercing kits. They also don't offer any solid gold earrings except with the kits. They don't sell diamond earrings except with the kits.
The kits have 24k gold plated earrings while the separate earrings are 18k gold plated. They have attempted ensure that customers can't compare the kit earring prices to the earrings offered without piercing. So, we are talking apples to oranges. They can get away with it, right? Well, no they can't. Did I happen to mention that I know a lot about jewelry. I have operated a jewelry website, created my own pieces, and I am a member of the Gemological Institute of America. I know gems and I know metals.
